I agree with you! One of the ways we decorate our home is with our own photographs. Some are of people but others are just of scenery and whatnot. I agree, the bigger the better. They make a bold statement!

I think this is really good. My friend recently turned our family portrait into an oil painting look on canvas. It isn't huge but larger than 8x10 and we get a lot of compliments on it.

That is such a great idea! We've been trying to figure out decorating in our living room and adding photos of the kids. I think big photos is the way we're going to go. They look amazing!

We have a poster print on our wall in our bedroom and it is wonderful.

I find though, that on my stairwell, where I have a mix of 3 1/2 x 5 to 8 x 10, that smaller is the right size, because I have a whole collection of photos.

I suppose then that on walls in rooms, I would agree that bigger is probably better...but for a stairwell, I think smaller is better.
